Succession Rules
The Vice-President, if the President cannot execute the duties of the office, becomes president, according to the twenty-fifth amendment. If the Vice-President cannot execute the duties of the office, then the president will nominate a new one to take office. The twenty-fifth also provides a complicated method of the Vice-President removing the president from power through written declarations and a majority of the officials in the executive branch.
